Mount Haven Developments Brochure
The Project
Toliman Developments recently completed work on the show home for their ‘Mount Haven’ development of properties, the first panoramic sea view properties to be built on Marazion’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty classified land in two decades, overlooking the iconic St Michael’s Mount.
Their “Time Follows Tide” luxury brochure was designed to showcase the local area and paint a picture of life in West Cornwall for potential buyers. The journal and its articles contained stunning photography of the local area and, like the properties themselves, were designed with luxury in mind.
Key Challenges
Expert finishing including a soft touch laminated outside cover to give a luxurious feel.
Careful paper choice of 300 gsm Conqueror Stonemarque to preserve the full wrap image of St Michael's Mount on the cover.
Pages put together with Perfect Binding, to provide the book with a clean, crisp, spine.
The Print Solution
To meet the designer’s intention to reflect the authenticity of Cornwall and its heritage in the 48 page brochure, the design team requested an FSC® certified uncoated stock with a luxurious feel.
Due to the large amount of photography in the brochure, including a full wrap image of St Michael’s Mount for the cover, we recommended a paper that would remain tactile without compromising the quality of the images when printed – 300gsm Conqueror Stonemarque for the covers and 170gsm for the internal pages.
The brochure was printed on our Ryobi litho printing press, which features specialist LED UV drying processes so conserve energy, drying the ink instantly and producing an outstanding finish and colour vibrancy, particularly on uncoated paper stock.
The client was invited to visit for a ‘press pass’ to view the printing whilst on the press and work with our team to meet their colour and vibrancy preferences during the printing process. This is always an exciting opportunity for a client – to see their hard work coming to life on the printing press!
Next, it was over to our expert specialist finishing team to turn the printed pages into the finished product. Firstly, the brochure cover was soft touch laminated to the outside, providing durability and a luxurious feel.
The team collated the pages ready for Perfect Binding, a process using adhesive to bind the book together and provide a clean, crisp spine. The brochure was then trimmed to size and given a big stamp of approval from the client.
We love having the opportunity to work on such beautiful designs and bring them to life on paper.
