Spot UV Printing
Spot UV finishing applies a high-gloss, clear varnish to specific areas of your printed item, such as your logo or key message, giving them stand-out and helping durability. Spot UV printing creates both a visual and tactile contrast against the matte background, helping key elements to jump off the page. A liquid polymer coating is applied to the selected areas or your artwork, and this is cured with ultraviolet light to harden it and dry the coating. Many of our clients choose to use Spot UV finishing on their business cards or packaging materials.
Gloss Spot UV creates a high-shine effect, to enhance colours or details such as your logo.
Matt Spot UV is more subtle, adding a non-reflective coating to give depth and elegance to your design.
Blind Spot UV is ideal for adding a tactile, premium finish to logos or text on business cards, with just a subtle, sleek shine.
Spot UV works well with other print finishing options such as lamination, foiling, die cutting or embossing.
