A number of our staff have experienced the care provided by the Cornwall Hospice Care.
Cornwall Hospice Care is an independent Cornish charity providing special care free of charge to patients with life limiting illnesses at two Cornwall hospices in St Austell and Hayle.
Ian Dibb who works in our print shop is full of praise for Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell who cared for his Mum. He has fond memories of the charity which supported him and his family.
The staff were amazing and took all the hard work away from the family, so every moment I had with mum was precious. Sometimes you need to get away. Knowing Mum was being extremely well cared for allowed me to do that and have some time to myself.
We all loved coming into the hospice, that might sound strange, but we had a good time together.
It costs £8.4 million to run the charity, after a grant from the NHS, that leaves £7.5 million to be raised every year. The generosity of the public is vital to maintain the care provided by the Cornwall Hospice for people across Cornwall.
By collaborating on projects, providing our skills and expertise, and getting involved in local events and fundraising endeavours, we’re proud to support Cornwall Hospice Care.
