The SAPC 2025 Calendar - Celebrating The Power of Print Through the Ages
As always, we’ve collaborated with Illustration and Graphic Design students from Falmouth University on a project that’s not only about great design but also about celebrating the magic of print.
This year’s brief was ‘The Power of Print Through the Ages.” The students have done an incredible job of bringing the project to life. From Japanese Mokuhanga to Andy Warhol, we’ve been so impressed with the diverse range of themes, styles, and media used.
“We’re always excited to work with students from Falmouth University on our annual calendar,” said Beth, Operations Manager at St Austell Printing Company. “The students really researched the topic, so it was great for us to have such a broad range of stories, all showcasing the power of print.”
The project kicked off in October when Beth and Ben visited Falmouth University to introduce the calendar brief. As part of their coursework, students had the opportunity to take on the project as a live brief for a very real client.
“The students continue to impress us year on year,” said Natalie Hayes, Senior Lecturer in Illustration at Falmouth University. “They understand that these are real clients, that this is a real project, and if they are chosen, their work is going to be seen in the calendar. For them, it’s the first taste of what it’s like to work as an illustrator.”
The partnership between SAPC and Falmouth University continues to strengthen the connection between the creative industries and local education, helping to nurture the next generation of design talent in Cornwall.
Following the final selection, each of the winning students was invited for a full tour of St Austell Printing Company’s sustainable factory and had the chance to see their work come to life on the press.
We can’t wait for you to receive our 2025 calendar and explore the power of print through the ages!
