The team at St Austell Printing Company are celebrating after it was revealed we’ve been named a finalist in the prestigious Cornwall Sustainability Awards 2018.
Organised by TEVI, the CSA encourage, reward, and recognise the excellent work organisations are doing to improve their own sustainability while positively growing the natural environment in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
We’ve been named a finalist in the Best Managed Business category – where we have demonstrated our commitment to energy, pollution, waste & resource management, transport, purchasing and the local economy, buildings & land use, community participation, employment practices and environmental management.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our factory was awarded a BREEAM Excellent rating, we recycle 100% of our paper waste and 2018 has seen massive investment in a one of the most environmentally-friendly presses available and one of the largest roof-based solar panel arrays in Cornwall. We believe that all organisations have an obligation to sustainability and it’s the commitment of our loyal team which means we’re able to enjoy success and recognition such as this.
Previous winners of the CSA include St Austell Brewery, Surfers Against Sewage, Coastline Housing and South West Water.
Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at the Headland Hotel in Newquay on Friday 30th November.
